Zviedris, originally from Latvia, has enjoyed a successful career as a painter since moving to Chicago in 1999, where he has shown with McCormick Gallery since 2002. The artist has traveled extensively, having spent time painting in Spain, Mexico, India, Yemen and most recently Italy. In 2020, with a wife (also Latvian) and new baby daughter, the family decided to return to Latvia to raise their child in their native culture. He has continued to find success in Europe with the opening of a solo exhibition in Riga at the Lipke Memorial Art Museum. Vidvuds continues to contribute new works to the gallery and remains an important member of our exhibiting artists group.
